Young Jeezy And DJ Drama Take Over South Beach

Young Jeezy brought his Atlanta swag to South Beach this weekend, shutting down strip club King of Diamonds to celebrate the release of his newly minted mixtape The Real Is Back, hosted by DJ Drama. The project marks the reunion of two of Atlanta's biggest superstars since theirGangsta Grillz mixtape series. Hip-Hop's elite mixtape crownholder DJ Drama was also running the streets of Miami for the weekend with a myriad of events including a pool party with Young. Earlier today Dram spoke with MTV about the tape's release and the energy in the streets.

"Two, three weeks ago we said we gotta make Memorial Day Weekend" Drama told MTV about the Real Is Back release. I think a lot of these weekends like Memorial Day, All-Star, it's important cause everybody will be in the same place."

Last night the Snowman and about 100 of his goons took over the Miami hotspot reminiscent of Big Meech, ordering tons of bottles and tossing thousands of dollars at the venue's pole dancers. Other guests for Jeezy's gala included G.O.O.D. Music artist CyHi The Prynce and Worldstar founder Q.

Aside from his mixtape release Jeezy is flying high with the success of his single "Ballin' " featuring Lil Wayne, making a clear path for his album.

Last year, Jeezy released "Lose My Mind," featuring Plies, which was supposed to be the lead single from TM 103, the follow-up album to 2008's The Recession. Another pair of singles — "All White Everything," featuring Yo Gotti, and "Jizzle," featuring Lil Jon — were also released, but the announced September 28 due date for the album came and went with no new record in stores or iTunes.

"It took me damn near a year and some change to make this album," Jeezy told MTV News. "Me and Shawty Redd went back to the ... basics. We got in this n---a basement, I moved in with that n---a for three months to finish this album," Jeezy said. "No nothing, no clubbing. Just straight grinding, all day and all night."
