Exclusive: Swizz Beatz Opens Up About DMX's Recent Problems
AllHipHop.com caught up with Swizz Beatz at the launching of Pepsi Cola North American Beverages "Bronx Flavors" campaign in the Bronx, NY, and asked him his thoughts on DMX's recent troubles.
DMX is scheduled to be released from Arizona State Prison early next week, after serving seven months in jail for violating the terms of his probation.
According to long time associate and former Ruff Ryder Records label mate Swizz Beatz, he will always be ready to work with DMX, despite any legal woes.
"I'll always work with DMX; that's my brother no matter what," Swizz Beatz told AllHipHop.com. "X was a winner already. Now it's just a matter of getting that title back. Bottom line is, he's a winner. It's just on when he wants to win again; it's all up to him."

Will Lil Wayne Retire To Be A Better Dad? (Video)
Lil Wayne will soon release his new "Carter IV" album but could it be his last project? Weezy recently sat down with MTV to speak about possibly retiring so that he can focus on his children. Check out the interview below, do you think the Young Money leader will actually retire?
“I’m so settled in my life right now,” he told us. “I have my kids; they’re wonderful. My daughter has her career ahead of her now. I have to focus on that, and I have to put the same focus that I put in my career. … I want to become a better father, I want to become a better man to my woman, and those things take time. and time takes away from this. So the honest answer to that [retirement] question is, I don’t know. Maybe so.” (MTV)

Lupe Fiasco’s Top Twitter Moments
As we salute Chicago artist and prolific "tweeter" Lupe Fiasco as he reportedly intends to depart the fast moving social media network Twitter and also handing over his account – and 700,000 plus followers – over to singer Nikki Jean, RapFix has compiled a short list of the Lasers rapper’s top tweets in no particular order as he rides off into the Internet sunset.
1. Lupe Vs. Prolyfic – Lupe’s old producer and friend Prolyfic – who has worked alongside Kanye West and No I.D. – decided to get at his former collaborator and provoked a bit of a Twitter war with the rapper. Prolyfic went on to air a lot of dirty laundry, prompting Lupe to respond in kind. Lupe eventually stopped responding to the producer who continued to rail against the rapper. The pair would eventually squash the beef.
2. Lupe Vs. Atlantic Records Beef Gets Settled In A Twitpic – Smiling and sitting alongside Atlantic Records honcho Julie Greenwald, Lupe’s longstanding battle with his label to release his Lasers album was finalized and the rapper gleefully tweeted this photo of he and Ms. Greenwald along with getting a release date for the record.
3. Lupe Defends His Obama Comments – Lupe’s controversial criticism of President Obama was one of this summer’s hottest issues with the rapper declaring the Chief Executive a “terrorist” – and defended his stance vehemently on his Twitter account.
4. Lupe starts Twitter book club #TheReaders – As one of the headier MCs in the game, Lupe began a Twitter online book club back in October of last year dubbed “#TheReaders” in which the rapper would suggest titles and then urge his followers to join him in live chat discussions of the book on Twitter. The popular idea has been is still going strong with fans tweeting today about their next book discussion.
5. Lupe Vs. MTV – On the heels of his label issues with Atlantic Records last year, Lupe Fiasco took to Twitter to offer some harsh criticism of the good folks over at 1515 Broadway, using his account to bash the network in a long series of tweets that set off a series of discussions online and abroad.
Lupe Fiasco may not be terribly fond of us, but we’ll miss the talented and outspoken rapper on Twitter. Until then, fans can expect a new album from the MC this coming fall.
Uncle Luke Airs Out Wiz Khalifa Over Amber Rose
From an O.G. to a young gun in the game, veteran rapper Uncle Luke has some choice words for Wiz Khalifa. Speaking with a local Miami newspaper, according to Luke Wiz crossed the line by what he calls wifing up another rappers ex in Amber Rose who was engaged in a romantic and highly publicized relationship with superstar Kanye West.
"Wiz Khalifa needs to have his head examined. The boy behind the hit "Black & Yellow" has lost his mind over a woman interested only in hogging his spotlight" Luke told the Miami New Times. "For months, Wiz has been dating former stripper Amber Rose, whose claim to fame is that her ex-boyfriend is Kanye West. Khalifa even tattooed the girl's name on his hand. Now he's beefing with Kanye because West dissed Amber at Coachella this past April and then, just recently, at the Essence Festival in New Orleans. But Wiz Khalifa broke a cardinal rule in the rap game. You don't date another rapper's ex-girlfriend."
Uncle Luke didn't stop short of calling out other rappers who've also added rotating women within various rap circles to their love life.
"He is not alone. In Atlanta, Soulja Boy recently snatched Lil Scrappy's girl. Lil Wayne's ex Toya Carter tied the knot with some rapper named Memphitz earlier this year."
In last months issue of VIBE magazine Miss Rose elaborated on her post-relationship with Mr. West.
"What am I supposed to do? Crawl up in a corner and die 'cause I'm not with Kanye anymore? Am I supposed to go back to the strip club and not take these opportunities that I have?"

The Queen Bee has been making her rounds lately hitting a number of clubs including Atlanta's famed Velvet Room on Sunday nights where the venue held a welcome home party for recently freed rapper Gucci Mane and celebrities including boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr.
On her born day the Michael Antonio photos were released along with the news that Kim is on the verge of releasing a new single "Looks Like Money" produced by Rockwilder off her upcoming solo album.
Kanye West Gets 'Good Guy' Cosign From Justin Bieber
Nobody will accuse Kanye West of being the most likable of major music stars, with his much publicized outbursts in the media and abroad enabling many to label the Chicago superstar of having an ego the size of the Sears Tower. However, it appears that Mr. West has one fellow megastar buddy who happens to think he’s not as bad as he seems.
Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber defended his friend and past collaborator in an interview with XXL in the magazine's July/August issue, and Biebs gave ‘Ye the ultimate cosign.
“I got to be in the studio with him and work with him and see how he works and talk to him and talk to him as a friend, and not like someone [in] business,” said Bieber. “He’s not really an a--hole like everyone makes him out to be. I mean, he can, he can do bad things, but he’s really generally a good guy.” Bieber continued with, ““He can make bad decisions, you know, as well as everyone can but generally I think he is a good guy” – further cementing his earlier words succinctly.
If anyone knows how Kanye gets down, it would be the 17-year old Canadian sensation. Having worked alongside Kanye on a remix of “Runaway Love” and enjoying the distinction of being Kayne’s first Twitter follow, young Justin has had plenty of face time with ‘Ye to speak as frankly as he does about his pal.
After his singing career is done, Justin Bieber could perhaps begin a public relations firm for misunderstood superstars.

50 Cent Draws Comparisons Between New Artist Kidd Kidd And Himself

Rapper Kidd Kidd is on the mend after suffering multiple gunshot wounds while en route to a relative's house in his New Orleans 'hood just a few weeks back. This past weekend Kidd was publicly spotted for the first time since the shooting on the set of now fellow G-Unit artist Tony Yayo's video shoot for the clip "Haters." While in between shooting takes, boss 50 Cent sat down with RapFix and spoke on the similarities between Kidd Kidd and himself.
"Columbia, when that situation took place with me, they walked away from me just because they're not familiar with the actual environment and what happens at different points," 50 recounted. "It don't make me no difference: I understand it."
During his initial record deal with Columbia Records 50 experienced another unfortunate situation when he was dropped from his deal shortly after he was shot nine times. While the move was major setback for the Queens rapper it was that drive and passion that resulted from the situation that propelled a determined 50 Cent to take over the rap game. In Kidd, 50 sees a familiar scenario.
"Them boys down in New Orleans, they're active," 50 told MTV News. "It's a lot goin' on down there, and because I experienced it, I didn't move away from it. I actually ID'd with the situation a little more. He got hit six times, he got a bag on now," 50 said as Kidd Kidd lifted his shirt to reveal a colostomy bag on the set of Tony Yayo's "Haters" video.
The New Orleans rapper made a name for himself after he was linked to Lil Wayne and most recently G-Unit affiliate Sha Money XL. FOr the most part, Kidd is more than happy to be down with the Unit.
"It's a blessing getting down with Fif. It's real, it's all love," Kidd said. "There ain't too many real people in the industry, period. I've been around a lot, and right now it's time. I never felt like this before."
DJ Khaled Says Rick Ross And Young Jeezy Ended Beef
For five years now, DJ Khaled has aligned himself with some of the biggest names in rap starting with his debut album in 2006 Listennn…The Album. Khaled’s fifth studio album We The Best Forever will be the first of his records to have major label backing and has already spawned two hits “Welcome To My Hood” and I’m On One” – with stars such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Drake, T-Pain and Plies joining him on the smash records.
DJ Khaled caught up with hosts Bootleg Kev and Mr. Bob of Las Vegas radio station Hot 97.5 for an on-camera interview in where the DJ gave himself props for his live show, what he contributes to the game and his thoughts on becoming a feature rapper. However, the big bombshell dropped was Khaled stating on air that frequent past collaborators Rick Ross and Young Jeezy have ended their feud with one another.
“Well first of all, I don’t condone problems,” said the gruff voiced Khaled. “That’s what I do. I represent that love and just making great music. And them two guys, they don’t have no problems. I guess people in the streets try to make things into a problem. But that’s just life, that’s when you know you’re hot. That’s just part of the game.” Khaled continued and ended his thoughts on the matter succinctly with, “They ain’t got no problems, it’s all love.”
Khaled named “I’m On One” as his favorite record from his upcoming album but excitedly mentioned a track featuring Cee-Lo Greene, Busta Rhymes and The Game titled “Sleep When I’m Gone” and also talked up a Young Jeezy feature. The album will also feature Wale, Vado, Ace Hood and veterans such as Jadakiss and R&B legend Mary J. Blige.
We The Best Forever will be released on July 19.
Gucci Is Home From Jail
Gucci Mane is home- no for real this time. After a few false starts, the “Freaky Gurl” rapper was freed from Fulton County Jail early Friday morning his lawyer confirmed for RapFix. During the 4th of July weekend reports swirled that the Atlanta-based rapper was released from a three-month jail stint stemming from a probation violation, but that was not so. “Procedural holdups” delayed Gucci’s release, but today all of the legal drama is seemingly behind him.
“Gucci was released about 4:30 this morning from Fulton County Jail,” the rapper’s attorney told RapFix. “The Georgia Department of Corrections finally removed the hold they had on him very late last night and then processing or so probably took another eight hours by the time he was out of jail.”
The “hold” that Gucci’s lawyer refers to is an order that stated once the rapper was released from Fulton County that he was to be transferred to Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, Georgia. On Monday, Gucc’s lawyer Ashutosh Joshi told MTV News that he had an order from a Fulton County judge that would eventually remove the hold. It took a few days, but now Gucci Mane, who has now satisfied the conditions of his probation stemming from his 2005 aggravated assault case, is a free man.
First order of business is to party, after he tweeted “I’m back bitch gucci back bitch did u miss me or miss my raps bitch...” Gucci took to the social networking site to plug his welcome home party in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

During the NY Yankees win over the Tampa Bay Rays yesterday (5-4) at Yankee Stadium, Derek Jeter became the first Bronx Bomber to earn 3,000 career hits. After the game, Jay-Z, who was in attendance, spoke on Jeter’s milestone. Hov’s right, the fan that caught the ball is crazy.
